BioI'm a slightly mad person in a world of madness, coping the best i can. My daughter is part cyborg and so very near and dear to my heart, my dogs are my lifeline and my friends are the foundation upon which i exist.
I am a mother, a sister, a daughter, a cousin and an aunt. I am also tending to have stepmotherly inclinations lately...but we'll have to wait to see how that turns out.
I am currently a public servant of 8+years standing. I am trained as an ecologist, a zoologist, a natural resource manager - which rather nicely meshes in to my public service job actually. In the past i have been a shop assistant, a waitress, a maitre'd, an accountant, a vet nurse, a zookeeper, an indigenous affairs officer, an animal attendant, a traveler, a student and on the rare occasion a dole bludger. I have an interesting resume.
My time these days is mostly spent caring for my lovely, wonderful, clever, cute, precocious, adorable daughter, while trying to maintain a career. Unfortunately in winter this gets particularly difficult, when the ills of the world are so much a part of our lives.
A lovely man, (relatively) newly met and greatly appreciated, does take up as much of my time as i can manage, though it never seems enough - as do his two wonderful children. Between all of this i sew and read and do all the things listed in my interests and i dream of a time when i can devote time to starting up a new long-running monthly freeform.
